Tiziana obtained her BSc and MSc in Agricultural and Industrial Biotechnology from Tuscia University, Italy, and her PhD in Plant and Environmental Sciences from the University of Warwick, UK.

Her research interest focus on researching the unambiguous identification of plant as a crucial step in the quality control of medicinal plants in order to guarantee the identity and constant and reliable quality of the starting material.

She is also interested on the possibility of enhancing the production of active compounds in plants using a variety of plant cell cultures and biotechnological approaches.

Dr Eva Masiero
Senior Lecturer in Biomedical science

Eva obtained her BSc and MSc in Molecular Biology, and her PhD in Protein degradation and Muscular Disorder at Universita’ di Padova (University of Padova, Italy).

Her research interest focus on researching the unambiguous identification of plant as a crucial step in the quality control of medicinal plants in order to guarantee the identity and constant and reliable quality of the starting material.

Her line of research has recently expanded to include the use of in vivo Drosophila models to identify and validate natural neurotoxic and neuroprotective compounds in the regulation of autophagy pathway in neurodegenerative fruit fly models collaborating with Dr Breda.
